We have observed the partial downtime of the Services due to issues with database connectivity of certain services of the SMS-Magic platform. It was observed for a duration starting at 2020-03-05 21:54:06 till 2020-03-06 00:04:40 UTC.
Impact During this period, we observed the following things:- 1. Service disruption was observed for the delivery of Bulk Messaging from the SMS Magic Salesforce App. 2. Delay in delivery of the incoming messages & delivery reports. 3. Delay in delivery of outgoing messages sent via automation or conversations. 3. Users were not able to log on to the SMS magic portal hosted at app.sms-magic.com 4. SMS Magic SMS Rest API hosted at api.sms-magic.com was not available.
RCA - We found that certain services were having an issue in connecting databases. We are still investing the cause of this. We are consulting with the Amazon AWS team to understand the causes of this.
Resolution:- The database reboot resolved the issue. The engineering team is working on the investigation of RCA. The progress will be updated on the status page.
